| Accommodations & Amenities Nestled on the west shoreline of Cottonwood Lake, Dragonfly Gardens offers an amazing panoramic view of Pioneer Peak, Three Sisters, the Chugach Range, and the Talkeetna Range.
 | During the summer, the gardens having a variety of annual and perennial beds filled with whimsical yard art. An evening patio and rock garden offer evening portable fires and sunset watching. The dock is perfect for morning coffee and wildlife watching. Swimming is approved for the hardy during July and August. The woods are available for a quick hike with your dog in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter. There is even a meditation garden on the lake-side for morning warmth or afternoon shade.
The bed and breakfast is a non-smoking, self-contained second-floor studio with a private entry and balcony. The private bedroom has a queen bed with comfy flannel sheets and down comforter. The bath has a shower, no bathtub. Monogrammed plush cotton terry robes, hand crafted soap, washer and dryer supplied. The living area offers an Efficiency kitchen, queen sleeper sofa, and dining table. DISH Network with Pay-Per-View is available as well as a variety of DVDs, and wireless internet. The telephone has a separate private number (toll-restricted) and answering machine. |
Breakfast is your choice – a variety (breads, cereals, yogurt, waffles, and eggs/bacon, tea, and juice) is provided in the self-contained kitchen along with coffee locally roasted and blended by Kaladi Brothers Coffee Co.
Dogs are welcome. Please remember we, too, have pets so request only visiting pets who like other dogs. There are woods for walking, special areas for pottying (baggies provided), and a crate when you need to leave your pet behind. Your doggie can expect Alaskan salmon treats and its own bowl.

 | During your stay you may enjoy the loons and grebes that spend their summers nesting along the shoreline while eagles nest in the trees. Ravens visit to ride the wind over Cottonwood Creek while muskrats travel up the creek searching for fresh water clams. Squirrels chatter in the trees, owls hunt by night, and a variety of ducks take up housekeeping on the creek and neighboring lakes. Wintertime brings awe inspiring displays of the aurora borealis (northern lights) and frost formations.Of course, there is a myriad of local activities and interests as well.
